I remember a post on here about which Windows tablets would run P&S, but I can't remember the answer.
Anyone know?
Thanks.

My guess would be that they will if they run full Windows but not if they run Windows RT since the game would need to be created as an app to run on RT, e.g. P&S will probably run on a Surface Pro of any version but not on a straight Surface.

Thanks, Chris. I have an ASUS that runs actual Windows 8, not RT. I'll have to see if I can install it and make it work.

Installed. However, when I tried to run it, I got the message, "MISSING_IDS_NEW_VERSION_MSG."
I'll post this in the support forum, but I thought I'd do it here for anyone who's interested.

I just needed to upgrade to the current version. Takes longer to load--no surprise, the tablet is not as powerful as my pc--but it seems to run fine. However, are there ways to control everything just using the touch screen? I have a keyboard for the tablet, so I can play that way, but it would be nice if I could just hold the tablet itself, without the keyboard, and still play.
I'll check the manual, but if anyone knows anything about how to control the game with the touchscreen only, I'd appreciate finding out.

Doing the few things needed to make it play correctly on a touch device is on our wishlist, but sadly it's a very long list...

No problem. I understand. Not having an iPad, I thought that they were touch screens, and that the iPad version would be touch screen compatible, so I thought it might be part of the Windows version too.

The iPad is touch screen but is a new version of the software. Sounds like they probably need to port those changes to a new Windows version. Can you get the game to bring up the on screen keyboard? That might work without using the external keyboard.

That might be possible, but Right-Clicking is necessary to play the game. I don't think you can fake that with the keyboard.

Right-Clicking is not necessary to play the game. You can select Left-only mode in the Options. (Not sure whether this helps or not, but I thought I ought to point it out).

Thanks! I knew that months ago, but I forgot all about it.
