How does one actually buy and deploy units that one has bought? I can't figure this out, even with the manual )-;

Hello Curio, a quick question: can you deploy your units normally at the start of a scenario by selecting them and then clicking on the deployment hexes? These hexes have a white arrow, pointing down.

Are you having trouble purchasing and placing units at the start of a scenario or halfway through it?

If you are advancing through a campaign, at the start of a scenario you can check your allowed amount of deployed units, it is shown at the top of the reserve list: 'Units to deploy: x/y' (x=how many units you can still deploy, y=total core slots available). The game allows you to purchase units as long as you have enough prestige, but the scenarios allow only a limited number of units to actually be deployed on the map.

If you are trying to deploy any purchased units halfway through a scenario and it won't allow you to do it, it could be that you have reached the maximum of units that you are allowed to deploy for that scenario. A quick way to check this during the scenario is to hover your cursor over the purchase button, it will show 'Core slots: 0' if you can't deploy any additional units.
