Hello all,

I hope you're doing well. Since the release of the 1.1 update in mid-November, we've been hard at work porting the game to iOS and, in the meantime, introducing gameplay tweaks, lots of UI improvements and some new content. You can see a detailed list of changes here.

Before releasing all these changes as SPM 1.2.0, we've decided to upload them as a beta branch on Steam (SPM v. 1.1.29). We'd like to kindle encourage you to give it a go and let us know if you find any issues, so that we can fix them for the official release.

In order to access the beta branch, open up your Steam client, do a right click on Space Program Manager and select the 'Properties' option. Then go to the 'Betas' tab and select the 'beta -' option from the drop down list. The steam client will then download the beta branch. The version number shown in the main menu when you run the game should be 1.1.29. Notice that this is PC only.

Hope you like all the new changes, please let us know your feedback!

Cheers,

Yes, press Alt while starting the game through the launcher in order to bring up the resolution dialog.

Cheers,

You may have to be a Steam beta user overall. To do that go to Steam (upper left corner of the screen) and then choose settings,

You then want to choose "beta participation" a little below the center of the big box.

If you still can't find it, send me an email and I will send you screen shots (can't seem to attach them here).

Neither do I, no beta. :( Does this mean that the patch is due soon? :)

Hello SomeoheYouKnow,

I spoke to the Production guys at Slitherine. Please select the "beta2" option from the dropdown menu, that should make the trick.

Cheers,

I also reverted back to the original program on steam and there is NO beta2 option. Instead the only option is to opt out of beta and the only message I got without choosing anything was "You have successfully opted out of beta"

Hello DemonKhan,

I'll contact the Production team at Slitherine and ask them to chime in here, as they are the ones that have access to Steam.

Cheers,

Interestingly, the beta of 1.1.29 being available only on steam and not through the updater or a weblink means that many of the people who beta-tested it from quite early on cannot beta-test this version.

Hello Kyle,

I made the decision of only posting the beta patches on Steam since technically all players can have access to them. I have several things going on at the moment (localisation of more strings files to 4 languages, iPad beta test, new content, more code, etc), so I wanted to keep things simple by only publishing the beta patches once.

That being said, I'll upload a version compatible with the Slitherine/Matrix Games store within the next couple of days so that you can give it a go.

Cheers,
