Does the AI use the same dice as me in skirmish?

What it says really... I have played a few skirmishes now with almost identical forces (TYW German Protestant vs. German Catholic) and in pretty much equal match-ups (checking POAs etc) my units seem to disrupt/fragment/break far more quickly than those of the AI. It could just be that I'm having a bad run at the moment, but I'm currently seeing enemy P&S units walk through a storm of fire taking many casualties, firing at one of my fresh units and disrupting them. It's a bit frustrating.

The AI units use exactly the same combat resolution and cohesion test code (and random factors) as player units, taking no account of whether the unit belongs to the player or the AI.
Obviously in any game where there is an element of luck, luck will sometimes favour the opposing side.
However, be assured that the AI is not being given preferential treatment in any calculation. You have as much chance of being lucky as the AI does.
However, if you are playing skirmishes on Lieutenant-General difficulty (the middle difficulty) the AI will have about a 20% advantage in force points, which does of course pile on the pressure.

Thanks Richard, good to know I'm just having a cr*p run at the moment! Useful to know about how the difficulty does affect the AI - maybe I'm not quite so rubbish as current results indicate
