On the "Restricted zone clarification" thread under the rules section it was mentioned....

"and more are in the draft campaign supplement"

What is going to be in it and when might it be out, please?

Also mention of completion of the Dark Ages and Byzantine supplements - any dates for those as yet (1st quarter 09, 2nd quarter etc)?

Thanks

Nick

The Byzantine book is scheduled for October 2008, the Dark Ages book will be some time after that. I really can't say when the campaign book will be done. There is a lot of ongoing work to support FoG and the release schedule is fairly hectic.

It's the biblical book I want but I imagine that is pushed back into Q1 2009 by now?

Most likely IMO, ditto the Dark Ages one.

I could tell you but then...

I'd have to shoot you :( and

JD would have to shoot me (which is even worse) :(

So I'll keep mum for now  :)

But I suspect official news will not be many weeks in coming

Excellent.

Could you maybe risk a slight wounding and hint at type of things included :-)

Cheers

The campaign supplement is a long way from being ready so don't expect any news on it in the immediate future I'm afraid! :)

We'll keep you posted when there is some news.

As IRMs says its a way off and I am sure he will update when it suits

Just think of all the fun you can have speculating :D

:D I can't wait for this campaign supplment! I really hope it contains stuff for the Punic Wars or expanded rules on maintaining armies over numerous battles - attrition, supply and such

Let the speculation begin!

We're speculating? Sweet!

I am interested in rules to model things like thirst (e.g. Hattin, or perhaps Carrhae). Will they be written in such a way as to be easily applicable to tournament games? I am not sure whether that would be good or bad.

If I could preorder the campaign supplement I would do it right now :) :D

Seeing how interestingly things are modelled in the game I can only imagine what cools stuff will be done with things like scouting or logistics !!
