Caesars Challenge a get to know the rules competition for Field of
Glory was held over two Saturdays at the Western suburbs wargames
association.
The first Saturday we saw quite small numbers as this comp was only
organised within a month after delivery of some copies of Field of
Glory.
By the Second Saturday numbers had doubled and intrest was growing.
The following are the results from both days.
Mark Mann Later Ptolemaic 4 games 67 points
Paul Bolam Later Ptolemaic 4 games 60 points
Ian Sharp Later Macedonian 4 games 56 points
Michael George Later Ptolemaic 4 games 54 points
Steve Neate Later Jewish 2 games 21 points
Geoff Frost Later Seleucid 2 games 20 points
Brian Neate Spartacus Slave Revolt 11 points
Mark Chandler Later Republican Roman 2 games 3 points
Some players went into the learning comp with only one or two games
under their belt but left feeling they had a better handle on the
rules and units reaction within them.
At the end of the day Elephants where found to be brittle but it must
be said my army had four which by the third game I used them
sparingly.
Cheers Mark
