these are some question, which i have still not been able to answer... i'll be glad if anybody is willing to help me out... :D

1. does, F.E., a 6 experience level general inspire more morale boost in surrounding soldiers than, a 2 exp. level general? or does he have a larger "bonus radius"? or maybe he is merely better in fighting than the later. in short, how does a general improve, as he gains experience

2. how is this battle rating calculated?

I dont think the generals abilities improve just his combat stats. Battle rating is a combination of level and troop type.

ok thanx for your quick reply :D but i have one question...

suppose persia conquers sparta, 8) will the happiness be same as, say perge, the persian capital, all other factors being equal?
common sense says sparta should be angrier

First, there's a distance factor from your capital to the conquered city. The farther away, the less thrilled they will be about being controlled by a distant leadership. Second, there is a "racial" factor, where cities of a different ethnic background will have a lower hapiness until "integrated" into the conqueror's culture over time.

You want to change the text or the font it appears in? The font's are set in the fonts.inf file in the data directory.

Its related top the font size or boldness or something like that! I'm not sure why it would not work when you change it. Maybe you do not have the font you tried to use, or mistyped the name.
