Hi all

have ordered and waiting anxiously for my copy of the rules and the storm of arrows supplement. :?

meanwhile Im wanting to get painting and basing. however I want to make sure Ive got the basing right before I start. can anybody help with base sizes for medieval bowmen and cavalry ( retainers not knights ) and number of figs per base. Im using 10mm but the stats for 15's would be great, I intend on simply putting more figs per base.

thanks all...

Greetings

Bowmen will be 40 x 20mm, cavalry/knights 40 x 30mm in 15mm. Number of figures doesn't matter (and is not specified for 10mm) 15mm standard is for 3 or 4 for MF (which are what bowmen will be) and 3 for cavalry/knights. Most people using 10s fill up the bases to look appropriate - so bowmen looser than heavy foot would be.

What figures are you using in 10mm?

thanks edward. thats spot on.

I must admit to been a fan of the old warmaster medieval stuff ( bretonian ) so their bowman and spearmen for starts and retainers look great for an engligh medieval. I will mix in some Old glory ( crusader ), with some Copplestone stuff as well. their new city spearmen and archers look so nice.

I know these figs are probably a bit early for the storm of arrows book but I hope for plenty of inspiration... :P
