That's a nicely painted army. Looks like it will be very interesting to play. Please let us know how you make out.

I really like this army with Sartorius as an IC.

It was one of 3 I am considering for the Challenge in a few weeks time at 800pts 15mm.

If you run it, I'd be very interested to know just what structure and how it went! I've found that the +3 seems to give you an excellent chance at choosing terrain....hills :)...and then picking:

Brush (double-sized but counting as 1)(compulsory)
Gentle hill (single-sized) with brush on top
Gentle hill (single-sized) with brush on top
Gentle hill (single-sized) with broken on top
Broken (single-sized)

This keeps the opponent from using uncovered gentle hills.

Now, it seems that terrain tends to 'float' to the outer edges, but still...am waiting for that glorious day when we catch the hated romans with all those hills in the centre :)

I'd love to see this army in action against an historical opponent.
If you ever get the chance could you post an ARR?

In the Sertorian´s Army, +/- 40000 men was trained as roman legionaries. At least 2/3 parts must be as legionaries (HF Protected, Superior or Average, Drilled)
Other troops was caetrati (LF) and scutari (MF) more cavalry and light cavalry, alls excellents soldiers (principally in guerrilla´s war)
Marco Perpena Vento has 20000 men (4 legions) that they was veteran soldiers in Sila´s War.
(Sorry for my english, jeje)
