Just curious about these in the upcoming Legions Triumphant.
What are the dates of the periods? What will the Foederate Legionarii and Auxilia be like?
Thanks,
Rob

Principate dates are, roughly, from Augustus to before Diocletian, Dominate from Diocletian until Valentinian III's death and Foederate from then until the Ostrogothic invasion of Italy and the founding of Theoderic the Great's kingdom.
Foederate legionarii and auxilia will be, IIRC, Protected, Drilled, Light Spear, Swordsmen. Legionarii are HF and Average or Poor, Auxilia are all MF or all HF and can be Superior, Average or Poor.

Oh, and 1/3 of each BG can be LF archers.

Great. Thanks Nik.
I've got a sizable army of Late Romans, so looking forward to that list. Should be a lot of fun.
Best,
Rob

Ok, so the elements of archers supporting Legionarii and Auxillia are LF rather than MF?
This is a pretty important point for me as I'm about to start working on a Late Roman army I've been sitting on forever.

But I just want to make sure will the Dominate and Foederate lists include MF Auxiliary archers?

Yes, but not very many and only in all-archer BGs.
The attached archers in legions and auxilia are all LF.
