Interpenetration questions

1) Skirmishers can evade through units with no problems , what happens when they don't have enough movement to make it all the way through ?

2) If a BG of 6 Light Cav evade and end up half way through some light artillery what happens ?

1 is a bit complex as it has various situations... see p48 for the full low down (basically they either pass through or are "stuck")

2 would be a "Burst through of friends" which is also covered on the same page (and following page 48-49).

Hope this helps,
GG

Ok thanks
the way I see it , is that

LF can evade/burst through anyone and not cause a drop in cohesion level ?

Light Horse that evade through a friendly unit will cause that unit to drop a cohesion level ?

So basically only LF don't cause a cohesion level drop when they evade through another unit ?

All units besides LF that evade/rout through another unit cause the unit being evaded/routed through to drop a cohesion level ?

Do I have it ?

Yes...more or less (see exception below) and if the LF don't have the move to complete the interpenetration they can become disordered.

Not always. If they are LF it is okay and again if they can not complete the move they may become disordered (in addition to the coh. drop if the victim is not LF).

The only exception I see is if the victim were an artillery unit and it was not "front to back" or vise versa. Other than that it appears they can interpenetrate freely.

Not quite, Cav, LH, LC and El can pass through LF as well.

Also, note there are exceptions and these are/can be on a list by list basis. The one that pops to mind are English LB that can interpenetrate HF (billmen I think, don't have the list at hand).

Just reread interpenetrations

Anything that can interpenetrate does not burst through but interpenetrates instead.

Anything that has to burst through causes a drop
