What happens when a MF BG is in difficult terrain that makes it disordered, but the attached commander counts the terrain as severely disordering? Can the BG make a second move?

Commanders move as LH or as the BG they are with.

OK. So the commander suffers the same effects as the BG.
Thanks

I can't find anything in the rules that relates being disordered to being allowed to make a second move. Your legionaries or pikemen could be in the woods and still double-moving as long as they have a general with them and are more than 6 away from any enemy,

Yes you can double move. The penalty is rather -s on CMTs if you want to do something fancy with the first one.

OK, my mistake, it's got nothing to do with double moves! It's all about battle lines. (I was wanting to double move a battle line of MF in forest, with a commander attached). If the commander is treated as LH, it would be severely disordered. p30 prohibits battle lines containing severely disordered troops.
Helps to ask the right question doesn't it?
So, can a commander be severely disordered?

No. Commanders can have their move reduced but they are never disordered or go down cohesion so you should be fine.

It specifically says "have the move distance of light horse" not that they are treated as such.
So they cannot suffer disorder at all - except in the mind perhaps
