had it yest
played starter army later cartaginians against gauls. I played gauls.

it was really fun, we tried as far as possible to play correctly as both of us played for the first time.

we liked the 3 kinds of fight system (shoot/impact/melee)

had a very difficult situation when i charges 3 BG not alligned with a HF gauls BG and had to move forward so my Bg was splitted in 3 parts unconnected (no corners to corners) . I didn't know how to conform from this situation. If u have illustrated example of this i'd be happy coz it seems to me it will appear again

fight looked more "clean" than DBM line and integrity are maintained as far as possible

100 % change from previous rule, thats appreciable too

good general impression

I don't think your charging BG is allowed to split into separate groups - you have to maintain at least corner to corner contact whenn stepping forward.

If a BG ends up in a situation where it can't conform it just doesn't conform see P71

You just fight the melee as though you had conformed and then normally the other side will have to conform in their movement phase.

It is possible that neither side can conform so troops continue to fight without lining up.

Might be worth a photo or diag to help us understadn what you mean. Sounds odd.

In general BGs cannot split at all

You conform if you can and if you can't to fight as if you had been able to but leave the figures as they are

You only step forward if you can do so without splitting the BG.
