Supply rules

I understand the supply rules very well, but I have some difficulty with the implementation of this rule towards the Allied side of it, after Dec. 23rd.
I mean, airial supply did occur to the 101st. and remnants of 10th Armoured, but if I cut off 3 Armoured and 3 inf. Divs, I think it becomes a bit out of perspective, what the Allied Airforces could supply!!!
In other words, why not implement this rule in the same way as with the German fuel restrictions after Dec. 23rd, so no more than 2 Divisions get the air supply, the rest is toast!
Either I choose, or the AI.
And by the way, if you are out of gas, you can't retreat, you destroy your vehicles and walk back home!( Ostbf. Jochen Peiper)
