Slitherine

I have recently had several instances where the iPad AI system retreats losing units (particularly German) toward the west side of the map even when space toward the east is available. These seem unrealistic. Is it just me or is this something I do not understand?

The retreat priorities are laid out in the detailed rules in the Help section. A high priority is not retreating across rivers, which overrides the preference for retreat to a friendly edge.
