Hi, since the update I'm not receiving push notifications and I don't know when is my turn. I have to open the game, wait a few seconds and then I get the notifications. Can I solve this?.

I was seeing sporadic cases of this yesterday. Sometimes it was working fine, other times not. So I suspect something on Apple’s side.

you have to open the game center app and log in there.

i ran into this problem too. i kept having to hit main menu to get updates, but then i went in game center and logged in and then it worked right.

Probably not. The standard iOS behavior is that if you refuse to log in 3 times, iOS will no longer nag you to log in to Game Center. (Where “standard” means “automatically does this,” not just “developers should implement something to support this.”)

Cases where this is preferred behavior include users who do not even have a Game Center ID and are tired of tapping Cancel every time the game comes to the front and tries to authenticate. Or users who aren’t interested in Game Center achievements or remote players in a particular game.

Since the standard behavior does make sense, you’ll need to make a strong case for implementing something different.

I'm always logged at Game Center. I will try unlogg and login again.

And of course, be sure notifications are enabled for Bulge (in the Settings app, Notifications section).

I get the notifications ok, I think. But David, I don't have any Bulge icon inside the notifications menu.

I don’t know what you mean by “menu” — in Settings app, select Notifications, and then scroll if necessary to see Bulge.

David, there's no Bulge icon in my ipad in the notifications tab. Am I the only one?

I have one question. In Settings -> Bulge. There is something that says Launch. Restore state, what is this for?. Thank you.

A few times over the course of testing, we'd get games that crashes every time you load the game. Turning Restore State off prevents that game from loading in the first place. Most players don't need to use it.

It looks like the iPad 1, or perhaps any iPad with iOS 5, doesn't have Bulge in the Notifications Center, but my iPad 1 gets notifications. Do you have Game Center notifications turned on in the Notifications Center?

Yes, the notifications are on. In fact, I receive all the notifications of other games.

What version of iOS are you running?

Not sure if this has been resolved already or not, but I too am not getting notifications reliably when it is my turn in multiplayer games without opening up the game and checking---and even then it doesn't show it all the time. Sometimes my iPod will get the update and the ipad won't. It's just a little wonkie. When I open BotB it usually says "Unable to connect to Game Center" and then connects in a few seconds. Almost acts like the call to Game Center from Bulge isn't waiting for a response or at least not long enough. Or is it just Game Center? I haven't noticed this issue in other games. The last time my opponent made a move over 13 hours ago and I had no clue.

Also, I've checked in the notification center and Bulge doesn't show up in mine either. iPad 2 iOS 7.0.3 -- I've gone and looked under both "INCLUDE" and "DO NOT INCLUDE" sections and it doesn't show up. It does show up in the left column under the main settings screen but that is just the options with the "Restore State" setting mentioned before. Do I just need to uninstall/reinstall? Would reinstalling make me lose my multiplayer games, or would they still show up when I connect to Game Center?

Anyway, just adding my two cents in case there is a solution. Thank you for your time and the fantastic games you are producing.

In iOS 7, it looks like the Notification Center entry is for Game Center (which handles all our notifications). Have you turned off Game Center notifications?

As for Restore State, this lets you control whether tapping the app’s icon returns you to the game you were in (the default), or the main menu.

It seems to take Game Center longer to authenticate in iOS 7, so our attempt to load the game may time out before Game Center connects (this didn’t happen in earlier versions of iOS).
