Suggestion re: early Axis victory conditions

Love the game but I think the early Battle of the Bulge main scenario early victory condition ( get an unit in supply across the Meuse) is too easy for Axis, especially but not only versus Patton AI. Ive found myself several times just in at the point where I think - oh, the Patton AI is really threatening to break my supply lines now and trap my forward divisions, and then on the same turn or so, I win early victory, which means I don't get the fun of trying to deal with AI's entrapment strategy and seeing how good Patton is in this situation.
I think this early victory situation also tends to make the VP earning goal of moving Axis division off the map to the NW a bit redundant
With all this in mind, here are some suggestions:
1) make early victory for Axis in the main scenario much harder (you must get X number of VPs off the map to the NW, say) or even remove early victory for Axis. These could be options in settings rather than fixed.
2) maybe make different levels of victory possible ( marginal to overwhelming victory etc.) so players can continue even after winning an early victory on either side - they get to play on for a larger victory (so if Allies win a technical marginal victory before Xmas, they can go on to try and use the rest of the time to throw the Germans back to the East). Again, this could be option rather than fixed.
