Setting difficulty level

A great game, so please do not see this email as criticism.

A suggestion though to keep people interested and to accommodate different levels or gaming experience, skills etc.

I have played war games for 20+ years, maybe that is why some mechanisms and principles come easier to be to someone who is not used to it. As a result I find the AI very easy to beat, and except for the first game when I was messing about to learn the mechanics haven't lost again in 15 or so games with both sides and in both scenarios. At the same time I read posts that others are struggling, likely because they spent less of their life pondering over board games...

It would be great to be able to set different difficulty levels. To improve the AI per se is going to be laboursome, and possibly difficult. There are though a host of other possibilities to increase or decrease a difficulty level.

A few suggestions:
- give boni or mali to units, either per se, or e.g. When fighting certain types (e.g. Elites only etc)
- change likelihood of the raids to succeed
-delay / speed up the air support
- delay /speed up the German supply issue
- alter the VP allocation /limits
- give uncertainty / delay reinforcements

making the AI better is clearly the best option, but many of the above I presume could be incorporated quite easily without major changes to the game.

Congratulation to a wonderful game, and looking forward to the future development of this, and to the other parts of the game series!

Merry Christmas!

Cheers Kratsch,

Don't worry about it. There's been a ton of great feed back and suggestions and we read it all.

Have a great Christmas too.
