conforming to ennemy after a charge

Hi

assume that a 3 elements wide BG charges another 3 elements BG. initials positions are so that the charging BG contacts the right corner of charged BG with the front rank of the element at left end of his front line (when i say right or left i refer to each own side, so charging left's is not the same side as charged left's right?), but even with the 2 MU of pressing forward, the other elements of the charging BG couldn't touch the charged BG. it can arrive for example if the charge move makes a 80 ° with the front line of charged group. So charging elements stays in line. the question is: At the succeding manoeuvre phase, will all elements move to contact all the BG elements? that could be a very long extra move .

sorry i don't have a draw or a pict, shall i make one?

If I understand what you are saying you have a charge that results in a situation like:

Code: Select all

     C
XXX C
   C
Where C has just hit the front of X.

If this is the case C does indeed swing back into frontal contact so:

Code: Select all

XXX
  CCC
And can if it wishes feed an extra base into the melee to end up:

Code: Select all

XXX
 CCC

ok ur idea is good

here is the situation

Code: Select all

xxx
               c
              c
             c
than c BG charge

Code: Select all

xxx
   c
  c
 c
only one elemennt touch, other c are too far

does, at conforming time during manoeuvre phase end like that:

Code: Select all

xxx

The trick is to highlight the ascii diagram and click on the code button at the top of the message box. That will always present the resulting text in a fixed font.

Having edited your post I see it is not quite how I thought but the answer is that yes your troops line up and get stuck in.
