How does this work?

Are you referring to inviting a friend to play BotB? If so, on the main screen of the game, choose online play, and Game Center pops up immediately. You and your friend have to have a Game Center account, of course... :)

I just read in another thread that some people are having a problem with this process. I guess Shenandoah is looking into it. One person posted that they have an ipad 3 with iOS 6.1 and a "matchmaker error" message was showing up. I have an ipad 3 with 6.1 and don't have that problem.

Strange.

Since I have never used Game Center for multiplay, I was wondering how many open games of BoB you can have active at one time. Also do you need to finish a multiplayer game in one sitting or can it be carried over days if needed? Love the game but getting tired of losing to the AI, thinking of getting beat by a real person...LOL

I believe Apple allows up to 30 active Game Center matches at a time. No limit at our end.

The beauty of Game Center is that it is completely asynchronous: you post a move, and your opponent gets to it and returns a turn when they have time. A game can go on for weeks. It's also fun to play with both people on at the same time (maybe even with a Skype or Facetime channel open). Really fun!

And the game saves if you don’t finish thinking about a move. And it deals with your train going into a tunnel just when you want to send the turn.

Start just by tapping the New button under Online. If you know someone has the game, invite them. Or just tap Play Now to have Game Center automatch (you will play against someone else who has decided to play automatch). If someone is waiting, you'll just join their game. Otherwise, you get to pick which side.

Like Nick said, you can have a lot of games running at the same time. The game shows you how many in which it’s your turn to move.

When I open the play menu, the online option is grayed out. Am I doing something wrong?

Okay, one thing I'd like fixed about this. I want to start a new 'random' game in Game Centre that uses the 'Battle of the Meuse' scenario. However, I never get a chance to set this up, as the auto-matcher always connects me to a pending game that someone else has already set up (and it's always been the full scenario).

I'd like a setting where, when choosing to run a new game with a random opponent, that you could elect to start a new scenario of your own choosing rather than be automatched. Possible?

The option grays out automatically when there is not a solid connection to Game Center.

One other suggestion I have is, it would be good to be able to see the scenario before accepting the game invite.

Another possibility is that you are not logged in to Game Center. If you refuse to log in 3 times, the game will no longer nag you. You will need to log out in the Game Center app, and then you will get another chance. (This may require you to first log in using the Game Center app.)
