I've played most of the older Roman-theme games and none are a patch on Legion Arena. It is just what the hobby of wargaming needed. I admire the whole feel of the game. Experimenting with different unit combinations, to get the most out of your men. Replaying scenarios again and again, trying different strategies, or is it tactics? Most of all I love the challenge that the game represents, how to get to the end with the most fame. In other words with the fewest casualties.

I feel certain that there are others out there who would like to add their comments, either good or bad?

I would like to add my word to yours. Legion Arena is a fantastic and realistic wargame. I've been Wargameing since 30 years ago, and I feel this game IS the game about ancients and Rome.

Expand, patch, upgrade it PLEASE. Gimme more...

OR/AND release Legion II asap. Pleeze again.

As a side note, I coudn't ressit to buy splendid Scarrow's Eagle books IV and V today (this last fith title just released this week in Spain).

Hi miki,

Thanx for your support.

As a side note, I've got the first five Simon Scarrow Eagle books, great reads, I was disappointed that our two lead characters are leaving Britain.
Has anybody read George Shipway's "Imperial Governor"? If so, what did you think of It?

Vale

Thanks for the kind words guys. What we really need is for you to go out and tell your friends and other forums you may be on about the game and how much you like it :)

If we sell enough Legion Arena we'll certainly think about doing another one!

Hi Iain,

The fault about it is that Legion Arena has not been released in Spain yet. GAME/Centromail says it will not be released until December 1st, and they give the soonest date here. So its hard to make "propaganda" about a game nobody knows it exists

But count on me to pass words of the game when LA hits the stores :D

Wow, thanks!

I did read his first three Eagle books this past summer, and enjoyed them a lot. Scarrow books are very good and funny, vividly depicting Legionnaries life, and add a lot of atmosphera to my Legion Arena gaming... :D

I guess I must look Simon's books too.

I bought Legion Arena as I got intrested of legion warfare after reading Conn Iggulden's series
of Julius Caesar, or more precisely 3 books of 4 that have been published.

Well, I'm digging through all the old posts tonight, and I must agree with this thread. Great game Slitherine!

I wasn't able to complete the campaign on "very hard", myself  I had to turn the difficulty down...  ...but keep trying!

P.S: looking forward to complete "Arena Warriors" on normal or hard :)
