Use of Thracians

Ok after an etiquette blunder a couple of years ago I now like to check bits first.
Is it ok to have Thracians in a Spartan list?

It may or may not be historically justified, but we decided not to be too pernickety with the lists, so the lists allow it.
Those who wish to can restrain their own non-historical urges.
