Good evening to all. I wanted to ask are there more slitherine games using the panzer corps playstyle and interface ?

These are in the same time period, but not using the same interface or gameplay as panzer corps. What i am looking is for games that use the same interface as panzer corps regardless of the era. Thanks for your time to reply though.

Panzer General, Panzer General II, Panzer General 3D(not very good), Allied General, Space General, Fantasy General(very good maybe the best General game) Rites of War. Hmmm did I miss any?
While not Slitherine games they are what Panzer Corps is based on.

Well you forgot pacific general and also panzer general 3 scorched earth . I ve got all of those besides space and fantasy that i am going to find them somehow. thanks all for your trouble

You forgot Panzer General 3D Assaut too.

If you're still looking, perhaps you should check out some of the mods for PzC. These use the same interface and core as Panzer Corps, and come at a lovely price of nothing!

Commander the Great war uses a combat engine similar to Panzer Corps but is WW1 and covers the whole theatre pretty much. I've been enjoying it, it's very epic in scope.

Now this isn't a Slitherine game but Battleworlds Kronos, inspired by the old battle isles series is a similar to these kinds of game. It's not as good as it could have been (i don't think it has terrain modifiers) and also the repair system is really fiddly with too much micromanagement for my liking. Nonetheless it's an ok game and could be worth checking out.

That's about the only thing good about the PzC series is the UI and graphics. The ai is so passive I don't even play it anymore. Glad I got all the DLC and Africa Korp on discount I would have been angry as hell if I had paid full price for it.

The others I can't speak for. How is that new Pacific game and perhaps Commander Europe the one for WWII? I'll probably stay way clear of any games the LORDs make from now on.

OOB Pacific is amazing!

Commander EaW is a good game on DS (though you can't buy it for that anymore), but on the computer it is better to get Strategic Command Global Conflict or WWI (SCWWI comes with a 1939 scenario for some reason)

VP would you consider Strategic War in Europe similar to Panzer Corps? I think it has the same feel as PC but more of a larger strategic scale.

It plays in a similar way, yes. But you have to deal with an entire war efoort with offensives being thrown at you more randomly.

But it's still a good game, so who cares

But i do not like some.
It GUI is not good.

Everyone has their own opinion

I am not too fussed about graphics though, so SWE is a winner in my books.

Also, nowadays most people seem to prefer the multiplayer shooters, so Slitherine and Matrix essentially dominate the market in semi-grand strategy wargames (and with good reason!). Anything you can't find here probably doesn't exist, but Paradox has included some smaller missions in HoI 3 if you are at all interested in that (such as the Winter War and North Africa). It plays differently to PzC but the same concept is there.

And finally, HoI 2 contains far more of these small missions and is a lot less complicated. Plus it is usually less than $10, so I recommend you look in to it (even if you never play the 1936-1963 mission)

this game ROCKS...(especially if you like WH40K)

Ok sorry this an old thread.

Before I found Panzer Corps I had found a game called Elven Legacy.

It's a fantasy setting and fully 3d which is neat.
It doesn't have the epic scale of Panzer Corps but it is enjoyable.

I never played Fantasy General but I wouldn't mind seeing some PzCorps mods to put the game in a fantasy setting.
Or an alien setting.
Or another period like Napolianic wars..
