_[BUG] rev976 [Client] Can't put in serials for expasions

I opened game up for first time and put in base game serial number, and then played for a bit. But when I reopened again to put in expansions' serials, I no longer get the option to input them.

Also, I'm a little confused as I thought the new version was replacing the old one. As it is right now, could players just choose to play old version and never download new version?

like bates talked before, this new version installs as a different game. i'll keep playing the old warhorse for now and in the future if this one does weird things. the only concern is they stop mp support.

The serials input window will only pop up once, when you're starting the game for the first time. Even if you haven't introduced all your serials, you can still introduce them in-game at any later time via the Preferences -> Settings Menu.

I've checked this using the rev976 GC1d beta client and you can introduce in there all the other serials, the game verifies and saves them, but won't unlock the addons due to a bug. I'll fix this bug asap.

FoG(U) installs as a different game because it actually is a different game. The old FoG(RB) was written in Real Basic, using a kind of old and pretty limited engine. The new FoG(U) was developed from the scratch, using using C# and the Unity engine. Even more, the base game and all the previously released addons will be ported to this new game without additional costs for the users. Not to mention about the tens of ways in which the new game is better then the old one.

Now, this new FoG(U) is not released yet, and it has some bugs. The old FoG(RB) has also bugs (and actually more than the current FoG(U). Any software on this earth has them. And we're working hard to fix them.

Of course, if you do not like it, you're free to continue to use the old FoG(RB) version. It works, and it will continue to work even after the new FoG(U) will be released (understandingly though, only in SP mode). Can I ask why the hostility then, please?

Here's a temporary solution to this problem, until the bug will be fixed and the fix released with the next build:

1) open the rev976 GC1d build
2) while in MainMenu press F12
3) select the Debug tab, and then press the Reset PlayerPrefs button (3rd column, first button)
4) close the client
5) restart the client, and in the first run serials introduction popup enter all your serials (they will be accepted and enabled in here without any kind of problem)

what hostility? I was stating the obvious: I'm not playing it until it runs smoothly, which is not the case right now. When it does, it will be enhanced by the most realistic scenarios anywhere and that's going to be of benefit to you.
