Nice one George. I hope to be there. For anyone who's thinking of going but hasn't been before I can heartily recommend Schiltron as a fun, friendly but competitive event run in the true spirit of wargaming. Give it a go - you won't be disappointed!

Hi all

I agree with Hunter's sentiments.

We always have a great time at Schiltron so if anyone wants to join us for the trip North of the wall from South of the wall drop me a message.

You won't regret it. :D

Didnt realise the castle dungeons were still operating GD ......... :D

FWIW to those plannng to take part the ultra historic Stirling Castle is a short walk from the venue and the brand spanking new Bannockburn Heritage Centre is a short bus/taxi ride away. Both are well worth a visit and although the BHC is pricey the 3D battle effects and battleboard game itself are simply awesome.

Went to Bannockburn on Saturday with my younger son. His team (English) beat mine (Scots) in the battle game. Its very enjoyable if only to see the other members of the public (ie your team) make absurd battle decisions. But its best (almost essential) to book ahead.

Paul - if you do book remember which name you have to use (how cryptic is that?).

My English team won too - by killing the Bruce! Thank goodness we won the real thing!

Hi guys

My list is heading its way across the internet to Mr Dick now.

And to keep you all intrigued, it is an army I have never used in competitions before and it will be back from the painter just before the competition.

Hope no-one is tipping me for the top this year.

In the immortal words of Mr Johnston, I'm playing just for fun !! :P

My army is also something I've never used before. In fact I've never before used any list from this particular book. Should have the last figures finished tonight.
