Guys, I get this message EVERY time I post a message. Just submit again and it works the 2nd time. Does this happen to others. Anyone know how to avoid it, it really is annoying

I have had it from time to time but it seems to go away of its own accord. I think that out of my 1200+ posts it has happened half a dozen times.
The site went a bit flaky today and that might have impacted you.

I've had a few of disconnects when posting comments over the last couple of days - so your not on your own.
I'm begining to think there's a problem with the server - since it's usually half an hour or so before I can reconnect.

I get it perhaps 1 in 10 times. But I do see it quite often now. Maybe its the volume of traffic - or all that hot air

I get the same thing each time I press submit. I simply thought it was a bug in the code where the session variable is lost or not being referenced properly by the calling code. It should probably be looked at by the webmaster, should not be hard to find.

It probably used to happen 30% of the time a few weeks ago, but is certainly over 95% of the time now. I would say 100% but I know that is not quite true

Greetings
I don't think I have had the error message with this forum. I have had it with other forums (fora) but I put that down to the older version of AOL I was using at the time.

And then ... I spent some time while compiling a post on Artillery looking things up and got the dreaded error message when I tried to post it - my sense of timing is obviously inspired

I have never experienced this problem. It sounds like an internet service provider issue.
Cheers,

Then there are a lot of internet providers that are having this issue. In Canada, the UK and the US from the postings in this thread. Which is more likely?
To borrow a line from another forum
"Please fix or do somefink"
Posts take too long to load as well.
Got it twice posting this message...

I am not trying to point any specific finger at anyone. I don't know which end is causing the problem?
I live in the UK
Have a very new computer fully patched with the latest IE7 on it
I use Pipex 8meg broadband as my ISP
It is very annoying and I have never had it with any other forum, so there is some kind of configuration conflict somewhere...
Andy
PS Just did it posting this

I am also using IE7 with Noton 360 firewall and other bits. My broadband is from Orange and I get at most a problem one post in 30-50 times I post.

I seem to get it if I use 'quick reply' not noticed it on normal reply.
I would think it's the session time out on the server more than ISP or any other reason.

Actually I am lazy and tend to quick reply. This is a reply not quick reply....

Interesting that worked first time. It odes indeed seem to be influenced by "Quick reply"....

Hmm, thinking about it I almost always use reply or quote and the problems may link to using quick reply.

Hmm, could be, I generally use quick reply.
Edit:
Posted that using full reply, no problem

I have had the problem - on three different computers. It usually happens if a reply, or quote, takes too long to write.
