unable to fully load from disc

I have tried to load up my disc copy of BASPM and I repeatedly get a notification "decompression error has occurred (#7), file CRC mismatch data integrity error". I tried hitting retry but it loops around so I hit ignore and it continues but it does it multiple times during the load up and then I can't get the game to work once finished. Is this a faulty disc or something else?

Hello Matt,
I'm sorry you are having problems with your disc. Do you have the capacity to try the disc in another disc drive? If you don't, or you do try and the issue persists, please can you contact support[a]Slitherine.co.uk with your order number and we'll get a new disc sent out to you.

You can also test the disc using tools like :
VSO Inspector
CDReader
Emsa DiskCheck
Dvdisaster
Nero DiskSpeed

I have the EXACT same problem. I find that odd. Did a batch of disks get sent with bad burns or something?
Is it possible to get a Steam key instead?

Hello Agathorn,
