About the mod: it depends on what you have in mind exactly.

A major problem might be the 3d meshes for all the extra equipment after 1945.

Things like adding equipment in the units list etc. are less a problem.

But all depends on the big plan.

I know 3d is a totally different Thing than 2d.
What i have in mind ?
How about a Vietnam war mod ?
But the big Problem i see is you will not make a lot of Money with such a game.
The interest for this war is not nearly to compare with ww2, thats why no one creats such a game anymore.

those topics would need a lot of new rules to capture the feel of the scenarios (e.g. Vietnam with divisions seems useless and you would want to simulate tunnels etc.). True such investments are very risky as you might end up with no money.
Its not impossible to do and you might be lucky enough to reach a broad audience. But my guess is, that such a project asks for a whole new game.

it was just an idea, but as you said its very risky.
But no problem , for the Moment i have squadbattles Vietnam from hps and my Peoples General Vietnam mod.
But they are old games and a new game with a new gameengine like yours would be good.
But ok , was only a little dreaming.Come good to the new year.

1.06 is currently in beta status (you can get it via Matrix membership), but there are no complains so far so it should hit the internet very soon.
