Skirmish Player Purchase

Bug?
3500 point German Protestant 1618-1631 Skirmish game vs AI; Purchase the max of two heavy artillery units...one or both don't appear at game start...eventually they will appear at the board edge saying "returned"...they can not be limbered so are static for the rest of the game, sitting useless on the board edge...
Otherwise game has been working well for me with no other noticeable bugs....great game!

Skirmish games are designed to work correctly for "Very Large" armies of 2800 points. Above that figure, anomalies may occur, depending on the average cost of the units in the army. The engine limits armies to a maximum of 64 units including those additional units selectable in Force selection that are not in fact selected, so at very high points values some armies won't get their full points worth - the additional units will simply be excluded from the force selection screen.
The skirmish code that suppresses units beyond 64 is supposed to take into account the additional units required for gun limbers, but it seems likely from what you say that that code is not working correctly, hence the issue that you encountered.
We will look into it, but in any case we would recommend not using armies of more than 2800 points in Skirmishes.
In Editor created scenarios an army should not include more than 64 fixed and unfixed units, minus 1 unit for each medium or heavy artillery unit included - otherwise the guns will be unable to limber.
