1. Restricted Area.

The restricted zone only applies in the movement phase. Consider the following: BG A facing down the pgae, BG B facing to the right of the page . . .

AAA
AAA

BB
BB

. . . BG B is in the restricted area of BG A.

Given that the restricted area only applies in the movement phase, BG B is quite entitled to declare a charge at another BG somewhere off to the right of the page.

Is this correct ?

2. Intercept Charges.

Chargers cannot interpenetrate friends (except by bursting through as a result of being shock troops failing a CMT). Does this restriction apply to intercept charges ?

Rules not to hand but in situation 1 the unit b depending on agles etc might be subkject to an intercept charge from a.
Re the second question an intercept charge cannot interpenetrate friends nor can it shorten its frontage. You need to get your frontages and angles right if you want to be in a position to launch an intercept charge.

I believe so.

Yes you can charge through a RA. The whole point of the intercept rules is that they allow you to stop this if you are capably of doing so. Handling it this way means that you cannot stop a BG of charging medieval knights by having the in the RA of some skirmishers in loin clothes. It is much realistic therefore. If however you have some helberiers in the right place then you will retrict them yourself.

No charges or interception charges are allowed to go through friends unless you are bursting through having failed a CMT to stop shock troops from charging.
