OOBP features 3 LVT versions:
- The LVT infantry transport armed with 2 machine guns
- The LVT A1 armed with 37mm AT gun
- The LVT A4 armed with 75mm short-barreled howitzer

- LVT4.jpg (58.32 KiB) Viewed 5004 times
LVTs are amphibious vehicles. They can enter and exit water hexes without the need of a port.

- LVT1.jpg (57.77 KiB) Viewed 5004 times
Like all other land units, these vehicles can also be transported by ship. This is a faster - albeit less flexible - means of transportation and while carried by ship the vehicles can still be unloaded into the water.

All LVTs - as well as other amphibious vehicles such as the Japanese Ka-Mi tank - are immune to river movement penalties, allowing them to cross these natural barriers with ease. Infantry equipped with LVT transports also benefit from this ability.

All these abilities makes the LVT series a useful asset to your core forces for improved flexibility during naval invasions and scenarios with a lot of water and rivers.

Do they have different movement points when in water or on land?
Or is this already based on the terrain?

If I am playing the Japanese, is there any indication, when I mouse over a US unit, if it is equipped with LVT?

Unit transport type is displayed below the name, to the right of the experience stars.
And this isn't the beta forum
