Are points rewarded as in PC? Are they carried over?

You have Requisition at the beginning of every scenario.
You gain Glory with your actions and conquests.

Glory is cumulated with all campaigns, but has no effect ingame.
Requisition is used to purchase and upgrade units.
Requisition is also used to reinforce your units, at double the cost if you do it during a mission.

Requisition is carried over through the whole campaign, but there are big differences here.
Missions have a Requisition budget that your battalion value is compared to.
This may result in your Requisition being still as low, and not having points, or in free points.
Then your resulting free Requisition is used to reinforce your units (the ones wounded previously).

What remains is your free Requisition, to purchase units, upgrade units, or keep for the scenario.

Thanks. Your answer raised more questions. How is "battalion value" calculated? When are units eligible for upgrade? Often when I press "upgrade" I get 0 cost. The manaul is so scanty I feel like buying W 40K rules.

I think there are one or two where you receive nothing (v1.01 of the game). In fact, the units didn't even get restored to full health in between missions.

If the budget Requisition is the same than the previous mission, this means that you will get no REQ.
When you get no superior REQ, or when the REQ you get isn't enough to reinforce your units (that costs a lot) you get no REQ point as a result.

Units can be upgraded at anytime to whatever else is available. The cost of the "upgrade" is the difference between the unit values, this can also be negative and you gain prestige

I wish you could gain requisition by capturing hexes or killing enemy units. Would be more fun and more useful when playing scenarios where you have a tight budget. The current system is a little bit boring, im sorry to say.

I understand this to mean if I have, say, a "Basilrk", I can only upgrade it if "Basilek A" is available. Could I upgrade it to a better type other than a "Basilek"?

A Basilisk is a steel legion artillery unit, so you can upgrade it to any of the other available steel Legion artillery units

Current system encourage player to go with smaller and weaker core (though it is documented nowhere in the game) for greater reward, this is actually quite cool.

This is incorrect. The cost is the same in game and in between scenarios.

Oops.
Then my mistake.

But actually, since we cannot "manually" reinforce between missions, it was a hard guess here; we can only manually reinforce "in" a mission..

The cost to reinforce is always double the recruiting cost then?

For instance :
I have a 100 cost unit with 20 sterngth.
It lost 5 strength. My cost to reinforce it to full seemed to be 50 cost, instead of 25.

This would mean that disbanding would be more efficient...

Agreed.

The plus side is you don't always have to play perfectly to be able to play the next scenario.

I wish they could find a way to combine the two.

I like being able to lose units and still continue the scenario. In PzC it was so important to keep everyone alive and experienced or you would get mauled in the later campaigns.

But having said that I would like to be rewarded for playing well by extra req, or something.

The requisition system has a lot going for it, but there are also drawbacks.

When you add the inability to reinforce your units with experienced men it gets worse.

Come Act 2 you'll be disbanding a lot of your SL units in favor of SM units.
