Retiring questions

Couple of questions after recent games.

1. When you make an outcome move in your movement phase, what direction is it in?

2. When making an outcome move and there are enemy units in the way, can you slide to avoid them?

I believe an outcome move is always directly away from the unit or units that caused the move. I find its easier to turn to face the enemy that caused the outcome, or in the case of multiple enemies split the angle as best you can, turn the unit then move it towards its rear, using the units rear as its temporary front to make the move.

I think an enemy unit will block an outcome move.
