ARMY LIST BUILDERS

Hi all

We are extremely pleased to see the level of interest in FoG on various forums on the subject of army list builders. Olivier has kept us fully in the picture with his work.

I notice that there are lots of mails suggesting improvements and adaption's of Olivier's work or other versions of an army list builder and of course we do not want to interfere with anyone's enjoyment. That's after all what its all about. :D However we felt that some clarification on the subject might help. We are sure that you all appreciate the investment that we have put into this project and hopefully the books speak for themselves. The financial cost and man hours expended over the last two and a half years (and ongoing) are significant and we are rewarded by your support and enthusiasm.

Over the years in wargaming circles its become "accepted" that its ok to photo copy rules and lists and pass this stuff around. It is not and adapting army list builders to include details from the books is an extension and magnification of this, so we are anxious that someone does not inadvertently breach our trademarks, IP or copyrights as once done the damages are irreparable.

So to be on the safe side we suggest that anyone wishing to pass on this sort of material to friends or to post to the internet contacts us so that we can work with you to keep you clear on what's allowed. We thank you for your cooperation in advance and hope that you will continue to enjoy the rules as they bed in and mature. So keep the feedback coming, we are listening and as previously pointed out, its hard for us to track all of your feedback on the various forums that are now available. For the best response we suggest you post rules queries or points that you would like answered by a member of the FoG Team on the official forum here. That way we can support you as best we can

Regards
JDM

Gonna copy the QRF so I don't destroy my book. And probaly hand it out at Demo games so more people can play.
If anything it will help more than hurt since once they see the rules work they will drop money to buy the rules and lists. Same with AB.

I'd like to suggest that you guys draw up and market a slick, usable QRS that doesn't have a high cost--or put it in the game rules.

Copying the reference sheets in the rules is fine for personal use.

There is an 'official' QRS being produced but it is as far as I know not quite ready yet :(

UPDATE: the Official FoG QRS can be found on the Field of Glory website http://www.fieldofglory.com/file/Latest ... aylist.pdf
