What are the #s next to each unit's name?

For example, Lehman Russ (#23), or Flamers (#6). Those aren't exact names because I don't remember them, but what do the numbers mean, please?

Also - many unit names do not fit into the description box on the right side of the screen. They get cut off on the left and/or right side of the box.

If you have multiple units of the same type i.e. 2 Leman Russes, the program separates them by giving them numbers. I don't think you can name units in this game. "The Screaming Alphas" would be a good unit name for my flamers

Thanks warscream. But, I had two Lehman Russes, and one of them was #23. Shouldn't they be #1 and #2? I don't get it.

Remember, you are not the only army on the planet. So just imagine you got the 23rd Division of tanks or whatever unit scale they are using. It was a planet wide war and you are a small, but important piece of it.

they do need to fix the name size as they dont always fit. i like to think of them as companys so if it has a #1 then its 1st company ???? hvy bolters and #6 flamers is just the company number. you could think of them as regiments or divisions or just as squads what ever suits you to make the game feel a bit more real to scale.

Not at the moment, afaik. Yet another casualty from the old PzC engine. Let's hope it will be re-implemented.

Man, the more I hear about what was scrapped the worse I feel! I really hope they add this stuff back. If they do, I will buy pretty much any DLC that comes out for this. It's addicting as hell and I want more factions and an expanded editor.

Some poor industrial worker got killed by a grot assassin hiding in one of his paint cans. The worker was trying to paint a '0' after the one on the titans :D If you look very closely you can see 1C on one of your reavers.
