for me this screen txt used is too small, but as i wont read it anyway, matter not, just thought i'd mention it again tbh

but as your agreeing to something that you can't even read or see, just thought i'd at least say

as that's what i do as a beta report...

any way i move now swiftly on...

and tested

manual button in windows 8.1 test took me online to read it... and when i'd closed the screen the game had closed, will test again to make 100% sure of this...

tested, pressing the manual button in windows 8.1 closes the game down but leaves it in the task manager running, so when you exit the manual you need to re run the game again, then you will have 2 exe of the game running!

first bug find to me

difficulty options added...

a great start and tbh much better infantry changers used so far, as i'm testing first play though on Normal, i expect little or no challenge tbh, but need to see how it has played against the last beta, which i guess was set at medium level in the middle of all the settings as is it here, so to see what changers have effected what etc, so far so good...

voices have been added also, so it's not just a story board, so also an improvement...

same as end of turn victory notice...

as you can clearly see, no tanks but far too many artillery pieces used, setting maybe far too easy, so will change it after the tutorial has finished up one notch, as i think it may be on easy

but infantry is again much better and survives longer, and so far doesn't always become the main target if something else is closer...

edited, oh yes it seemed i did leave it on easy, i did wonder why Orc's has so little strength, so yes will change before act 1.... silly mistake but easy to rectify as well

also do like much more the end of turn button afterwards now after you have won, the review button is a good adding, same as the restart one, good choice and much better, makes more sense and i bet was already going to be done in beta 4, so all the moaning i did, i'm now sorry for  and embarrassed

some of the buttons have moved as well so i keep pressing the wrong ones  but i'll get used to it, the layout panel in game to buy and sell and upgrade one....

so far apart from infantry changers, all the rest is the same... maybe Orc's seem to be a little bit more aggressive but can't really say, need to alter settings in a bit and replay a few times to be 100% sure :?

but they do seem to come forward more, so are not fixed no longer in defence, but again i'll wait for act 1 to really know that answer

Tutorial
SCENARIO Tutor4 report

after deployment the orc's attacked a tank in front of the mines, never happened in last beta, they went every time for the mines only so were dumb...

yes can confirm Orc's are more aggressive that last beta version, they want to attack and move forward to close the range on you and don't sit and wait now to be killed from range, and this is only the tutorial, but a big improvement in game play, o well done all...

Hmm... there are no 'Orks' in the tutorial, at least not the missions you mentioned so far. Also, more so than any content, the tutorial is designed to have an ultra-passive enemy, even a step above and beyond normal gameplay. The exception of course being the defensive tutorial map, which by its definition requires the AI to advance on your position. :)

well the other side then, you know what i meant

ultra-passive my backside, in the mission with the mines, they move always for the mines so yes advancing, but in this a tank of mine, one of many again i might mention is in front of the mines, they attack it, this wasn't the case in my last one, as the pictures are still there to prove, as i had already done the tutorial before i re done it again

if that is semi passive god knows what they will be like on the other acts, when the lease comes off, yes these aren't Orc's, but the AI is acting like it? no? well either way it's better so well done now go play yourself as i'm busy and your taking up my time replying

last of the tutorials, and for me the best one

should that be fores or forces? ^^ :?:

reinforced and didn't need them, as the Green Orc's approached my lines of reinforcements, i took and held the last victory objective and ended the day with a win... 8)

this for me has a bit of both, so is enjoyable, with a surprise at the end...

aircraft button now works and has units in there to select, as before in last beta it was greyed out and a few flying units were in wrong sections

a good different mission as if you don't remember you kill what you should capture, plenty of time, plus resources, unit options are good.

Act1

SCENARIO CampScen1b report and feedback

so far infantry seem to be a lot better than before, which was a concern of many here, Orc's are attacking more, and tbh the explosions seem to be better, bigger? or i have just not noticed them looking as good...

please remember this is quick play, so only doing it on easy all the way through, then will play all again and edit the differences into the same thread and pictures as i play along, as this rate nearly all will be done once through by dinner time tomorrow hopefully if not all, then ramp up the difficulty and re play / test again...

have edited first comments in first post to say the same, made mistake of going in on easy but will play quick first time through so not have to restart and do all again, apart from tutorials etc, which tbh are fine so no more comments needed...

comments so far are good and positive and better than beta was so Ian was right all along, again.... would be nice in a update though to change the win pictures maybe in each act? if you haven't already that is

a very hard mission, and have lost almost all my money by now, have kept all units, but have no money left to repair or upgrade, remember as well i'm on easy, but then again act 1 is hard then 2 and 3 anyway, or i thought it was

this is a good to great mission with a good finish, a challenge and very playable, most will love this one as it's not run of the mill defence or attack...

easy but fun, wasn't sure if i needed to keep infantry on the ones i found or just place a unit on them to save them, so kept a tank at each one and moved around

Can you give more info? What turn, what button? When exactly did it crash? Do you have the log?

I was placing a unit into the fortification at hex 20,11

It was an infantry unit with the armored car.
