Potential Skirmish Issue

While I have really been enjoying the new skirmish mode of BA2, there seems to be an issue with computer unit selection.
The best example that I can give is a skirmish set up as follows:
1. Computer playing Soviets.
2. Meeting Engagement
3. Date February 1945.
4. Units selected by the computer.
5. No advanced selections
In this situation the German force correctly has a mix of Panthers, Tigers, and King Tigers along with infantry, mobile artillery, etc.
The Soviet force is as follows: Many KV2s!!!!! A number of 45 mm antitank guns. 1 T34 (1941 model). Various infantry.
I have tried this set up several times and always get something like the above Soviet units.
At this stage of the war there were no more individual active KV2s much less a large unit full of them. In addition the soviets typically used 76 mm At guns late in the war. I understand that the Soviet unit might not have JS2s or T34/85s in every meeting engagement but they should at least have more than one T34 and perhaps have a few KV1s.
There are a few other similar issues in other skirmishes.
Am I missing something or is the Skirmish programming not getting the date vs unit availability correct?
