MP: Show opponent's moves doesn't work any more

Hi guys,

a good friend of mine and I have started a MP game with the Battle for Europe Mod 1.4 (great work, thanks for that).

We were thrilled to see that there is now a feature to show opponent's moves which starts to play when you load your turn.

This did work well until turn 4 or 5, but has stopped working for the last couple of turns now, which is very frustrating for us, as it is a huge map (all of Europe and Africa...) and there is no way to remember exactly what units you have lost and where they might have gone.

Any help please?

The map and number of units is too large for the game engine.

Also, I don't think that scenario is designed for MP anyway. There are a ton of Allied reinforcements with far fewer for the Axis.

Thanks for those two answers, which make sense. I am playing Axis and not liking what I am seeing even in turn 8 or so.

I have a couple of follow-up questions though:

a) Not saying I don't believe the answer that the scenario is too big, but why did it work in the first few turns? Have there been so many new Allied units that it doesn't work anymore? (surely it is not the new German units :D )

b) Would it make sense to add handicap +3 for the German player in that scenario for MP? We are trying +1 this time, but clearly that seems to be not good enough. Not sure +3 would help as so far I as German player cannot but new units anyway.

c) Would the "1941 BEST MP SCENARIO" (called something like this) work for us? Would opponent's moves work there?

d) Is is balanced enough to play for us? What about handicapping there?

!) Yes the number of units and also the sound. The sound is a big factor when it comes to CTD's.
2) Unkown
3) Same problem map is too large.
4) Too many CTD's for me to balance that map. Plus too time consuming. So really don't know if that one is balanced.
