I was a fan of PG2. I am planning to buy the game off steam but the requirements say 2 GB of Ram is needed if using any OS newer than Windows XP. I am using Windows 7 and only have 1.74 GB usable. Is this enough to run the game? I have played the demo and it seems to be fine. It runs fine I mean.

Is this just a precaution or if you get deeper into the game and get more units on the map will a shortage of memory cause problems? I would really like to know because I would like to buy the $80 bundle and get all DLC so I can play the full game. $80 is a lot to spend on something that may not work properly. But from the demo everything seems to be fine.

Any answers would be appreciated.

It should be alright, although we can never guarantee as the mileage may vary with each system.

However, many mods, if you choose to play with them, are very resource demanding (maps larger than about 80x80 especially!) and are unlikely to work.
