Beta impression

Hello everybody ! Here my impression about the Beta !

First of all, i'm French, so sorry about my orthograph and my expression ^^''

I suppose a lot of my point are already corrected for the future game, but well, i will talk about no matter what.

I will begin with negative point :
-When a unit fire, it will be great if every unit fire together, not just one.
-Need information about every symbol in the unit description when the cursor is above one of this symbol.
-Need music. Without music, the battle look a little boring. This silence make you sleep.
-Better tutorial for neophyte who never play that kind of game. I already play Advanced War and Age of Empire II (on DS) so i'm not that lost but i think people who know nothing about this kind of game will be lost quickly.
-Animation when unit moving from à point to another.
-Highlight unit who are concerne in the fight when the computer launch an attack on one of your unit.
-Maybe more turn for each mission, like 5 more turn. I lost sometime because of only one turn. That's kind of frustrating when you had killed ALL the foe's and you lose because you hadn't take one point...

Good point :
-A loooooooot of unit, and that really great.
-Interesting Battle
-The scenario look great, and you can ask some question, participate, not just listen to someone...
-Seems generally complete and with a lot of potential.
-Respect the Warhammer 40k universe.


So keep going ! I think i will buy this game :)

Impression about the new release with only 5 minute of playing :

Good points :
-Some sound in the back, not really a music but this is better
-The tutorial seems to be better in all ways
-Explosion who make the battle more lively...

Bad points :
-... but can be ridiculous. When a infantery unit shoot to another infatery unit, they... explode ? XD Feel like i'm watching a Michael Bay's movie ! Making a vehicle like a sentinel explode when it die : ok, that's good. When a unit take a hit from atillery or from a Leman Russ or other tank -> Ok. But from a lasgun ? If the lasgun destroy a vehicule, ok, no problem. But not every time. This is too much and even if it's funny at first, it can end to be boring.


Idea : If a unit of Infantery take loss (like a unit of steel legion which means 20 soldiers) around 5 kill, wouldn't be good that a soldier is missing. Like a percentage ? Well, i don't know if it easy to do, but the player will see quickly if a unit take a lot of loss or not just by looking quickly at it. And that make it more realistic.

But the game seems to be better in everything :)

Of course, spoilers...



In the mission where the Space Marine come to save the day, it was to easy. I mean, i just make a rampgage and i waited 3-4 turns doign nothing. Seriously nothing. I think if in the las 2 turns you make a real hell with non stop Gretchin and Slugga and Shoota boys, it will seems the Space Marine actually went for a reason ^^

And sometimes i have the alert of : ''New waves of orks coming'' , but nothing came, soooo.... i already kill everything ?

Oh and there is two time the same unit in the ultramarines vehicule : UM Stormtalon
