5/30 Impressions

Hi,
in the first few minutes I immideately enjoyed the graphic flair of the 40K universe. The interface is immideately recognizeable, even if though I never played Panzer Corps (my reference here is the old panzer general and allied general - pre windows).
After the first 3 tutorial missions I find myself getting a little better interpreting the unit stats at a glance and to recognize which of the units has which range etc.
The graphics are ok if somewhat classic (which I like, I always switch off the combat animations in Civ games too). At the moment my greatest hope is to be able to have one campaign for each of the main "players" (Space Marines - being able to choose the chapter would be a great bonus; Eldar, Chaos, Orks, Tau, etc.) ... but I guess that will be DLCs.
General impression is a solid state of the game, quite playable, although the combat predictions seem quite far off as soon as cover is involved. Hardware requs seem quite low, since I am running the tests on an old sony vaio without any trouble or delays.
Regards,
mattmios
