I've long been on the look out for a good set of rules to play East Asian massed battles - Three Kingdoms/ Warring States China and all sorts of samurai action too. WAB doesn't do it for me (I'm looking to play in 6mm or 10mm). From my initial read through of FoG (just picked it up at the book store yesterday, never heard of it before) I have high hopes for that set, though obviously I'd like a supplement with the relevant info and army lists.

Any plans in that direction?

There will be eastern armies, it's just that they are not in the initial batch of 7 announced books. I would expect them some time in 2009.
