i would love to see someone do a updated Arnhem battle / game or addon to a already done engine series of games etc, good map, nice new tile units as it's a great battle and time frame / period...

chance to play both side, added features like what if type landings etc...

as follow on and update from one of the best ones done to date from a no longer active / developer...

Arnhem is a first entry in the old spectrum line up from R. T. Smith's World War II trilogy, including Desert Rats and Vulcan. It simulates the assault operation initiated by Allied forces in September 1944 to take over the bridge of Arnhem, the Netherlands. There are British, Irish, Welsh, Polish, and American units of Allied forces against German forces and 5 scenarios, including advance to Eindhoven, operation 'Garden', operation 'Market', the bridge too far, and entire campaign from start to finish.

with rules for weather, reinforcements, drop sights, reinforcements, and what if type adding like units being available or not for both sides, which alters the difficulty somewhat for both...

doesn't have to be a new engine either, as there's plenty around now that could do it, with ease and a few tweaks...

pretty please

If it is turn based then you could probably do a build fairly easily in the STUB engine (as used for BA/BA2/Pike and Shot/etc).

Cheers

wouldn't the unity engine be better? or isn't there an editor for it that would be suitable?

i'll have a try with anything tbh, as i do like the old game just want it to have a 2014/15 make over

seem's this is no longer needed, as i have just learnt that WITE has the battle in it

as i like the engine and layout, more good news and reasons to buy it, not that i already needed a reason that is
