20 days to Release???

Hey gang,
Not to be pessimistic, but 20 days to release? You guys must have some killer code writers. Still that seems a bit expedited given the crashes and issues that we are finding in beta. I will keep my opinion here of course, but it seems a bit too fast.
I guess we will see what happens. I will beta test as much as possible. Watch for my report from last night soon.
Thanks,
Duncan

I cannot agree more. The game shows a ton of potential, but it is not ready for release. 20 days seems to be a very risky bet.

As you probably guessed, all the guys are very heavily working on the game, and there has been some good progress that you shall see with the next version. And they will keep working hard until and after release.
Indeed with the date so close, we will need your help in discovering and documenting all the issues. We are also planning to invite some new testers to help you guys out very soon, when the new version goes live.

You'll see a lot of progress in today's update! Just fixing a few last minute issues and we'll begin building the installer!

Hey gang,
You know I am a big fan of this game. I really want to see it succeed. However some of the comments from the Devs do concern me. There seem to be a lot of features that might not make it by release. It seems like it would be better to delay the release then and get all the features in. To that point I read this article and thought it merited review here:
http://www.bbc.com/news/technology-30040613
Now this game is nowhere as big or ambitious as AC:U, but some of the lessons should be the same. If this releases with bugs and missing features, it could affect the size of the fan base. For a lot of 40K players, this could be their first exposure to Slitherine and this type of game. I would hate to lose them to a bad first impression. I really want to see future games like this with Tau, Necrons, and Eldar.
Thanks,
Duncan

I understand your concern but a game never has everything you want in at release and a game is never finished. At some point you have to draw a line and say that's enough for v1.0.
The release version will be awesome so don't worry about that
The changes in the last week alone are huge and there is still some time left to get the extra polish we want in
Cheers
Iain

Sounds good to me. I will gladly get to testing and polishing!
So, about the Tau...

apart from game balancing and odd tweaks here and there, it's very stable...
30+ hours tested, not a single crash, no glitches noticed... or errors logged, no event viewer logs.
can't crash by alt tabbing or any other key used. and yes i've tried a few combo's
only 2 comments made about the UI, posted both...
gives a few days now to retry / replay / re test and then
may be even go through some of it again, time permitted
