weird graphic problem-showstopper

Hi, bought the game some weeks ago, installed it when my laptop was connected through HDMI to my TV.
Until two days ago I've played with the same setup (so: laptop connected to my TV) without any problems, yesterday trying to play using the laptop screen only the game when launched has generated a very heavy flickering on the screen making impossible to use the PC anymore- I had to restart it.
Someone has any clue about how to solve it? I've tried to either change the resolution to one equal to the TV and reinstall the game without any HDMI link with my TV but nothing has changed- I can play without any problem with HDMI link on but not without it.
