American Space Place 97% my butt

Who programmed the American space plane?? I mean this 97% and you loose 2 -4 astronauts to finish three missions is absolutely stupid and killing the entire playing experience as the american in the camp. Kinda hard to win is a space race when you cannot even complete the first 3 missions at 97% without 5 fails. AWESOME PROGRAMMING THERE.

It has happened 4 times in a row so it cannot just be bad luck.

Sometimes it's bad luck.
Playing as the Soviets, I've had ships and rockets go up with 80-90% reliability, and done 10-12 missions in a row with no mission-ending failures. Other games I've had 90-95% reliability and got failures every single bloody time.
You should play tabletop roleplaying games. Sometimes no matter how many times you roll the dice, you can't fail... then another night, you can't succeed.
Load the save game, move on
