Bookings for The BHGS Challenge (now June 20/21st, staying at Oxford Brookes University in Oxford) are now open for 2015 via the BHGS website:

We are also pleased to announce that student accommodation is on offer onsite, starting at a ridiculously reasonable £32/night for B&B, or an even more wargamer-friendly "full board" for £42/night. This can be booked as an "add-on" to your entry ticket via the usual Eventbrite booking form on the BHGS website

The 15mm AM period at The BHGS Challenge will remain as "open" this year.

If you go for the 'full board' is alcohol available at the evening meal - Friday and Saturday?

You can bring your own in, but it won't be sold by the venue.

Hi guys,

As always, the BHGS Challenge is open for your entertainment from Friday afternoon. David and I could do with a few early arrivals, as we will have approximately 150 tables to set up and dress, as well as welcome you all to the event, get you booked in etc. If you are around from mid-afternoon, please can you let me know (private email - no need to reply on list).

Of course, we are only asking for a little help as part of the fun:-

Chris Hanley has promised to be there with the highlight of my wargaming year - Biggles. Beautiful planes, a fantastic game and laughs-a-plenty.

Added to which, Nigel Emsen is going to set up his Napoleonic version of his new ruleset Hordes of Models and Buckets of Dice (HOMABOD), for you all to take part in Waterloo-vignette using 54mm figures! Should be great, and I hope that he will have plenty of eager try-outs. :o) The rules cover all scales, from 6mm to as big as you like, so if you get a taste for it, they will suit your current collections. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hordes-Models-B ... 1511581999

And, of course, once the tables are up you can get going on those grudge matches and last-minute practice sessions, or maybe set up a few mini- or maxi-games?

There will be lots of us there on the Friday night (we currently have 43 booked), so I am looking forward to plenty of social fun before the "serious business" (!) starts on Saturday morning.

Cheers,

Tim Child
