So when is this planned?

It is not currently planned, but obviously it is a possibility so hopefully any OSX player who are interested will let us know!

What about the iPad version- has that also been tabled? I thought the game was originally announced for PC/Mac/iPad.

If it's still on the table I'd be happy to volunteer to beta-test.

iPad is already in the release schedule, yes, IIRC.

Love the PC version when I'm home and at my desktop. However, a OSX version would be great for on the go. Never did jump on the iPad bandwagon. Steam's streaming function is decent and that's what I've been using if I want to play it on my Mac laptop while doing stuff around the house. Great having battle academy available on as many platforms as you guys do. Obviously time period wise P+S is probably a bit more niche so the choice to release on PC and IPad before considering other platforms makes sense. Mobile seems big these days though not sure whether one can say that as much about wargames/strategy games as much as something like angry birds.

I think the popularity of the PocketTactics site is a testament to the burgeoning success of the strategy genre on mobile platforms (iPad specifically).

Supporting my grognard dad's PC is such a headache, the more games I can get him for the Mac, the less tech support I'll have to do!

I'd appreciate Mac support for sure, since I spent 5 days oa week out of home, using my MacBook.
By chance, FoG did it so I have some games to play, but I'd really appreciate to have a PaS version also !

Count me in for a Mac version. Really glad that FoG, BA & BA2 have Mac versions. P&S will be hopefully next.

I would also love a mac version of "Pike and Shot"

Sorry to insist on the matter. Now that the ipad version is running (of course I just bought it), are there any plans to launch a mac version?

For us who can run the PC version in Parallels or in Wine, I guess the next best thing is to buy it in Steam & wait for a Mac version to one day come out. At least we don't have to buy the Mac version when it becomes available.

I've bought the iPad version, but would be interested in a Mac version too.

Has anyone been able to run P&S in Wine Mac OS X?
