I have re-installed the game on Windows 8 and I'm trying to load the last 1.04 version.
The updater tries to create a handle on the server then displays an error message :

An error occurred while trying to open an FTP file

Any idea about what's going wrong ?

Have you tried updating the game via the update feature on the splash menu? If that's the case please try instead downloading the update from the link below:

Run the downloaded file to update the game.

Yep, I was using the update feature.
