Beta 2 feedback

Hey guys, played around a bit with Beta 2 this evening. Much more stable than beta 1, but there's still quite a few crashes for me that seem related to buying/upgrading equipment. One reproducible one for me is entering the upgrade screen pre-mission, buying nothing, exiting, then going back to the upgrade screen. That crashes 4 or 5 times out of ten. I'll grab a screenshot later.

Other random thoughts:

Buying Chimera upgrades (i.e. IFVs for infantry) seems buggy. Doesn't always persist between missions for me.

On that note -- is there a way to tell which of your units have Chimeras at a glance? I can't quite puzzle it out from the unit descriptions.

I'm on the last tutorial mission, and all of the dialogue I've seen so far needs a thorough edit pass. There's more than a few misspellings, some awkward sentence construction, and there does not appear to be one single apostrophe to be found anywhere. :D

Thanks for first feedback, I"ll check upgrade scenarios and other issues you describe.

Unit list must show attached transports, but I'm not seeing them either, so we'll have to fix this.

Briefings don't indeed show some symbols - we have switched to Caslon Antique font, which apparently does not include them. :-/ However, I'm surprised that the general quality of text is so bad, as so many people have looked at them already! Could you please give a few examples of the issues you are seeing? Thx!

FYI, I agree that some of the sentences, especially in the briefings do need a grammar or editing pass. I am not sure they are wrong, but they certainly seem a bit odd. Might be a UK vs US thing? I know some of the intro to the tutorial mission 1 and mission 2 were places I noticed it. I will try and give examples later.

Thanks,
Duncan

Hi guys, well appreciated but please only work with British English grammar, this is what is used throughout the game. Well should be used. ;-)

Cheers,
